It may have been rude, but it actually... brought up a fair point. She was definitely not lazy, at the very least!

"I appreciate it, but that's just it. You CAN teach magic. You were brought here with those abilities. What about those who came here with... nothing? Why were we here, if we couldn't contribute?"
