[Somebody's been practicing with these things, which does make sense given her new role in communications for Orange team. She's still not sure what she thinks of this, but it does make it convenient to speak with everyone without need for FarSpeech or a ThoughtSenser.

She's late commenting, if only because she's been trying to wrestle any kind of meaning into her damn dreams.]

Goddess, if I never see another one of those dreams, it will be too soon. If this is what the other ForeSeers in Valdemar have to go through, I think they deserve more rest time.

[She sighs]

I've never been what I'd call jealous of them, but this sets it all in stone. I do not envy them their dreams. Although I suppose at least theirs typically have the courtesy of making sense.

I think I'm becoming sick of the fire and the catastrophes. Can't there be one damned place that isn't on the verge of an immediate collapse?

[That completely defeats the purpose of why they're on this train in the first place, and she knows it, but even so. It's stressful dealing with apocalypse after apocalypse.]

And here I'd thought one war was enough.

Look, I get it. Some people aren't made for this kinda work. The train doesn't always make the best decisions. And it's "vacations" aren't always the greatest either... But, what'cha gonna do about it, yeah?

Have the visions been inevitable or subject to change?

May I ask what exactly you saw?

Usually inevitable, if not exactly similar to what actually happens. It's...difficult to determine what they mean, what's changeable, and what has to happen.

Well that's a very inconvenient way for psychic visions to treat you. I'm glad someone on my team might be able to detect warning signs of something about to happen.

I never had them before. Not like this. I cannot imagine how any ForeSeer stays sane.

Yeah, it would be rough if you had to work around the inevitable all the time.

If that's what your home is like, I'm rather glad I'll not see it.

I'll do what I can, but you'll pardon me if I'm not exactly supernaturally prepared to handle continuing nightmares.

It usually isn't, from what I've been told. ForeSight only shows what is most likely in that moment if nothing changes. Usually, I'd only gotten a feeling if plans were already in place. These dreams, though...I think I hate them.

Fire and screams...[She shudders. That was the worst part of it.] Collapsing towers, the smell of death and blood. I suppose it's not all that difficult to interpret, but still...inherently confusing.

I'll be fine, I'm just...this is still somewhat new to me, the seeing visions.

Do you only ever have them before missions or can they happen sporadically?

[herarrows]

Oh, ForeSight is my Gift, so it's been most of my life, I just only started having actual visions since I came to the train.

[Casual shrug not visible but there and probably noticeable in his tone of voice.]

Hey, no one said I was supernatural. I barely even have a handful of magic on hand no thanks to the train's shop. [He thinks it's limited and thus bullshit.] It's just something you either get used to, or die trying. I prefer not to die, so...

[Okay, so. This is the point that Entrapta needs to practice her empathy.]

[Every bone in her body wants to exclaim how absolutely neat it is that someone suddenly developed visions from their previous existing less intense ability. But these visions are very much making the person unhappy.]

[So, Entrapta decides, she shouldn't openly express excitement about that? Maybe? Probably. That doesn't seem like a thing to express excitement over. It is, however, very cool.]

What were your experiences with it before?

A lot of fire and death. So the usual, I suppose.

Like I said, I just got feelings, but there already have to be plans in place. Like if we had plotted a war strategy, I could say when exactly the best moment to execute it is, but I'd never seen the same visions other ForeSeers do until the train.

I never accused you of being supernatural, either. I only meant that it's human to be upset by things like that.

Really doesn't help when we don't know the situation before going in. Sort of gets in the way of war strategy.

[She huffs over it.]

If people are going to have no choice in having these things, they should at least be able to use them!

Yeah, yeah. Some people just like to complain. Hell, I've been told I complain too much on occasion. But a job is a job. And I've just been here longer. [Slightly deflated tone at that last sentence. Not exactly a thing he's proud or happy about.]
