Good morning, duelists! My name is Seto Kaiba, and I, along with Yugi Mutou and Katsuya Jonouchi, am one of my world's top champions in the card strategy game known as Duel Monsters. Some of you might have seen the card collection and ruleset we've left for you in the gaming car, and a few have even started to learn the game yourselves. To that, I say: welcome to the game. But I think it's past time to kick things up a notch.

[ He shows a handful of monster cards to the screen. ]

Step one: If you haven't played and you're interested in learning the game, come see any of us in the gaming car. We're happy to take on students who show promise.

Step two: And if you think you're ready, I'll be hosting a small tournament for our players, most likely sometime after the next mission. All those who participate will have the chance to design and take home their very own unique card, and all those who defeat me in the final round will win a Duel Disk of their very own. What's a duel disk, you ask?

[ He holds a Blue Eyes White Dragon card between his fingers, flashing it to the ICP before he places it on the disk, and a giant hologram of the dragon shimmers to life beside him, roaring and stretching her wings. ]

This. A match played on a card table is fine, and that's how we'll handle the tournament, but when played with Duel Disks, the game adds a stunning layer of immersion. If you prove yourself as a true duelist, one will be yours.

I'll also be creating a card expansion inspired by our travels here, so the inbox is open for card suggestions from all. The tournament participation cards will be unique holos, but any new cards you propose will be fair game for all players.

Guilmon had missed most of that. But he'd paid enough attention to catch the most important part.

Guilmon had been a little sad ever since finding out that the Digimon card game didn't have any Guilmon cards. Takato had drawn him one. But this meant that maybe Takato could have a Guilmon card for the Duel Monsters deck too!

I don't see why not.

[ He smiles. ]

Does that mean you want to play...or your partner?

Oh, Guilmon isn't very good at cards. But Takato is really strong!

[ Takato was not actually very good at card games. Guilmon was confusing his knack for channeling the power of friendship through cards for being actually good at the game.]

And Takato likes playing games with his friends! Guilmon is sure he'd like to join.

All right. So I should reserve a spot for him, then? And I'll need you to stop by too, so I can get to work drawing your card.

Sure! And Guilmon will cheer Takato on!

[Guilmon nods cheerfully. ]

A Guilmon card! A real one! Guilmon can't wait until Takato sees it!

Just show me whatever you have of Koromaru, draw or describe...and you know enough about the game by now to be able to create your own stats and effects.

Less lack of faith and more, I don't know how many points you have. Though we should at least be glad they don't have the higher cost.

Also considering odds are it will be kids, I doubt you will go too hard on them.

I'll treat them with respect, but I won't go easy on them. I trained them well if they wanted it.

Oh, I am aware. But I doubt you'd go too hard on them like at Pro level type thing either.

That's why I try and make another deck for those who might want to learn but aren't on a certain level yet.
