[ here's the slightly less energetic voice of Peter Parker but at least he's not breathless. This time. ]

Uh. Hey. Um.. I just wanted to thank anyone that helped me out yesterday and uh you know, sorry you had to deal with that.

I'm uh.. better now? I guess you could say? Anyways if you need me I'll be around. Probably in the dressing car or one of the other places I like to hang out.

Yeah, I guess. But I had help and we did happen to have an inhaler onboard so it turned out okay. I was more concerned I couldn't find my Aunt and Uncle, really.

[ which, the reality of that situation has set back in, as reality tends to do. ]

Uh sure, okay. I'll come by after lunch, I guess.

[ He's fairly certain there won't be anything new-in fact there'd probably be less scar tissue as he's sure his healing factor has long since taken care of that. ]

[He's now taken a moment to understand a hypersmart raccoon. He hopes that he did his little brother in arms justice.]

[ She smiles a little. ] I'm glad that you got help, at least. So you, uh...lost your memory when all that happened too?

[ She knew that it had happened to some others, so she's not entirely surprised to hear that it might've happened to him too. ]

It...wasn't too bad? I was uh...having a bit of trouble controlling my powers, but that's about it.

[At least they don't have to handle something like that again for the time being.]

As for me. I'm fine. [She wasn't but she also knows not to concern others at the moment.]

Are you sure? 'Cause it's totally okay if you're not fine and little freaked out. You know you can talk to me if you need to, right?

Yeah, uh. I was basically exactly as I was back when I was eight which wasn't my worst year, I guess but still-lot of ER visits.

[ He shakes his head at the memory and focuses on her again. ] But you uh-are you okay? I'm sure that was jarring, to the least.

Oh no, I was trouble. I kept losing the inhaler I was given and like had something like four asthma attacks so yeah-I was definitely trouble.

[ Peter states as though admitting that be almost died four times yesterday was any kind of semblance of normal. ] Glad I wasn't too much trouble for you, though.

Well you did be being small and we did already be knowing that you did no be being well trained, so you did be even worse when you did be being little.

[She shrugged, she would have been more surprised if he'd managed to not almost die four times, honestly.]

Oh wow...I'm glad nothing too serious happened then.

[ She wondered if they would have had the supplies to treat him if he'd suffered something worse. ]

Yeah, I'm okay. I wasn't as badly affected by what happened as others.

[ She says as if she hadn't been curled up in a corner freaking out because she thought her body was becoming unstable, but whatever. ]

I know, I know. But I've been here for six months now, so it's something I'm getting more adjusted to, I guess.

Well, okay. As long as you know you're allowed to be a little freaked. No reason to hold everything in.

Yeah, but knowing how my childhood went? It really wouldn't have surprised me. Aunt May used to be really strict about letting me do anything if she thought I could get even slightly out of breath. Somehow, I still always had really high fevers, ridiculous allergies, and just.. you know, kinda weak.

That's not really how it works back home. I mean there's school and you learn to read and right and of course there's manners your parents or guardians teach you-I guess. But uh, before the spider bite I was-well, you saw.

[He clears his throat a little. ]

Anyways, Aunt May would hardly let me do anything so all I could really do was read and build legos. Too many medical conditions so everything I did had to be Aunt May approved. Uncle Ben was always the one trying to get her to relax and let me try other things.

You did still be having guardians, they could have been training you. [Reading and playing with legos. No wonder he was... Everything that he was.]

She should have been helping you be getting stronger.

That's not how chronic illnesses work. [ He shrugs. ]

Aunt May was probably a little over protective but in her defense-hospital trips are expensive and I was having like... several asthma attacks a day.

Gosh...that must've been rough.

[ She'd never been too active as a child, but she couldn't imagine what that must of have been like. ]

It must have been such a change after getting your powers, huh?

She must have been liking you a lot. [If she had kept him and fed him if all he could do was read and play with legos.] And you do be liking reading and legos.
