Right. So we all know how yesterday was a thing that happened. Apologies to anyone who had to deal with teenage me, by the way.

Now, I can't speak for everyone, but I sure as heck think it'd help if we could all come together and organize something to help us get past it. I'm talking about a formal, adult event, where we can all get together and dress up as smart as the train will let us.

So I'm announcing an Adult Ballroom Social, set for 1900 hours on the 29th of this month.

I originally just had couples in mind - I know quite a few of us who are paired up - but I don't think we should be leaving anybody out. I'm thinking of setting up blind dates for anybody who wants a partner, and having drinks and snacks set out for anybody who doesn't feel like bringing one.

Anyone who wants to pitch in, or who has any tweaks or improvements they want to make, let me know.

Yeah, I've said this somewhere else, but I may want to push this one back to after the next platform. If it turns out we can't do anything with the supplies we have on hand, it might help to order some.

But I was chatting with Rol that getting decorations for parties when we want 'em somewhere wouldn't be a bad idea. If you want them for your fancy dance!

Yeah, like one of those casks or barrels of wine or whatever. Or at least one of those boxes.

The plan's flexible based on what we actually have on hand, or when we can get what we don't.

I'll help out with decorations if you're pushing the day back. Depends what you want! Same goes for any equipment we think'd be good.

Yeah, pretty much everything I'm hearing is suggesting I probably should push it back. What do you think? You think the Third would work?

Is the alcohol that important? Guess it lets people buy their own clothes if they want too, but the train selection might not be that bad if you asked it to open up the dressing car.

Yeah, I'm betting the train'll be nice to us with at least a few things. I'm starting to lean toward a pushback, but I'll let everyone know what I decide.

Hey, whatever works. I think we can all be patient if you need time, especially if it means more fun and a distraction from the train in the end.

I'm not gonna be that particular. Anything that wouldn't be out of place at a wedding reception works.

I'm more interested in the alcohol, if I'm honest. Or alcohol. These things still have alcohol, right? That'd be the one familiar thing in everything else you've said it's like.

I don't suppose there's a reason for me to be a stickler for the legal age. Sixteen is grown-up enough for some people.

Bitchin'. Honestly, I never thought I'd go this long without my phone, so that's great to have.

I was in charge of music for Aunt and Uncle 20th wedding anniversary a few years ago, so I've got all the classic party and dance songs, including the YMCA, Electric Slide and the chicken dance. Not that you'd want to subject anyone to that.

I also have a ton of ACDC and Led Zeppelin I blue-toothed from Mr Stark.
